Erasmus + Conference Staff Week 2018
Between 16 and 20 April 2018 Karkonosze College hosted researchers and staff from partner institutions in the Erasmus+ programme during Erasmus+ Conference and Teaching and Training Week. The main goal of the conference this year was to discuss the issues of cooperation between Higher Education Institutions and the local job markets. To that end, the invited academic teachers and staff focused their presentations and discussions mostly on the competences and qualities which higher education institutions should include in their programmes so that students become successful in their professional lives and useful for local communities.
The discussed competences were, among others: linguistic ones, discussed in lectures and presentations of dr Alla Lisnychenko and dr Liudmila Priadivliannaya from Michal Kociubinski State Pedagogical University in Vinnitsa, social and psychological - lectures and presentations of Professor Reem Issa from Kalamoon University and finally technical, from the field of electronics, which was represented by Professor Talal Assaf from Al Wataniya Private University.
Moreover, topics such as internationalisation were taken up, including motivating students to go abroad - special thanks here to Mr Volkan Yaralilar, who encouraged all students and staff to visit Turkey, as well as practical issues of organizing Erasmus+ mobilities for students within KA107 partnerships.
The week gave us many opportunities to share intercultural knowledge, experience and enjoy our wonderful, unique cultures, all in the entourage of nature of majestic Karkonosze mountains, in the shade of Polish-German history.
