New Year's Meeting 2017
On Thursday 14.12.2017 international students who study at Karkonosze College in the framework of Erasmus+ programme and and 1st year students of English Philology had a very special class in the Theory of Social Communication conducted by dr Oliwia Gryt-Tarasewicz.
The main subject of the class was national stereotypes – how we see people from other countries and how we see our nation’s stereotypes. With the participation of international students we had a great opportunity to learn how Polish people are seen by them. Furthermore, we realized that we know more about some cultures than other ones.
Later on the same day, international students met their mentors and Polish friends to celebrate the incoming Christmas and New Year. With the contribution of more than 30 people we had an amazing dinner with dishes from Poland, Turkey and Ukraine.
We thank the people who have contributed to this event with their best effort and we wish the New Years' intercultural night in Karkonosze College in Jelenia Góra become a tradition.
